Presented as part of Fremantle Biennale’s Room Service at the heritage-listed P&O Hotel, our studio led a group of invited collaborators in creating an intimate space for contemplation and quiet.
Through naturally dyed textiles, hyperlocal timber and stone, and an evocative commissioned scentscape, the installation explored materiality, constructed memory, and locality, inviting visitors to pause, consider the site’s precolonial histories, and encounter place through its deeper social, psychological, and sensory layers.
